I came to celebrancy through a life lived at the intersection of culture, story and people.

I'm a writer and someone who has spent over twenty years paying deep attention to what makes moments matter. I've worked across creative industries, with artists, makers and storytellers, and I've learned that the most meaningful experiences are always the ones built around specificity. The particular details, the exact words, the things that could only belong to you.

That's what I bring to every ceremony.

I don't do generic. What I do is listen, shape, and build something that holds the full weight of your moment.

Whether you're getting married, welcoming a child, marking a loss, or celebrating a life fully lived, you deserve a ceremony that sounds like you, feels like you, and stays with people long after the day is done.

Ceremony marks a commitment, a welcome, a transition, a remembering. At Selebrant, each ceremony is shaped deliberately, with attention to what matters and to the people at its centre. Every ceremony is written from scratch and developed with you.

I create non-religious ceremonies built entirely around your story, your values, and the way you want to begin. Whether that's joyful and expansive, or intimate and quietly profound, we shape it together until it feels exactly right.

Celebration of Life
When someone we love is gone, we need somewhere to put that. A moment that holds the full weight of who they were.

Celebration of life ceremonies are created outside of formal funeral services. A space to gather, remember, and honour someone properly, with the stories and details that made them who they were.

Built from what you share with me, shaped around the people who loved them.
Marking moments
Not every significant moment comes with a ready-made ceremony. But some things deserve more than just a passing thought.

A naming. A milestone. A farewell to one chapter and a welcome to another. Moments that carry cultural, spiritual or personal weight and need somewhere to land.

Cultural Traditions
Many of the ceremonies I create draw on cultural traditions: ancestral acknowledgement, naming rituals, libation, the particular rhythms and textures of diasporic celebration.

Woven in where they belong, by someone who understands what they mean.

The structure, tone and content are developed gradually, with space to reflect, refine and make decisions together.
Writing and sign-off
The ceremony is written from scratch and refined with you, with a clear point of sign-off before the day.
Final preparation
As the ceremony approaches, wording and structure are agreed so everything can feel secure and settled.
The ceremony
On the day itself, my role is to guide the ceremony and hold the structure we have created together, so you can simply be present.
